Well, I've never been much of a one for celebrations but as the store of remaining birthdays diminishes, birthdays become more significant.

It was great to have some family drop in to say "Happy Birthday Dad" and bring a pavlova with them. They organised one candle and sung happy birthday to me. Lily showed me how to clap the candle out rather than blow on the food in these COVID-19 times. To my surprize, it worked!

Ya know: The older you get the faster you get older. I sometimes wonder how fast the years go by for older blokes in their 90s or better.

For me it's a matter of doing and enjoying what I can given the restrictions I'm under:

  • Look after and enjoy my wife of 51 years
  • A bit of woodwork down the shed
  • Keep the yard reasonably tidy
  • Feed the birds and sit on the deck enjoying them
  • Keep my websites up to date
  • Some physical activity daily
  • Do the Click and Collect shopping at Coles
  • Keep in touch with family
